The Viper swaps fiddly dials for a capacitive touchscreen that works like your phone. Tension, weld time and cooling time are all adjusted with simple icons, and the screen sits right in front of the operator so live force and speed readings are always in view.
Running different loads or strap sizes? Save up to eight recipes and switch between them in seconds, so every operator on every shift gets the same result.

From light cartons through to timber bundles, the Viper is balanced to sit comfortably in the hand all shift.
Makita 18V power
Runs on Makita 18V lithium-ion. Expect around 250 to 350 straps from the standard 3.0Ah battery, or up to 550 with the optional 5.0Ah, with no memory effect.
Soft mode for fragile loads
A dedicated soft mode runs from 500N to 1,500N, and the progressive tension button brings the strap up gently so light cartons hold their shape.
Easy to look after
The control board is reached by simply removing the handle, and built-in self-diagnosis flags issues on screen so downtime stays short.

Viper FAQ
What strap does the SIAT Viper take?
The Viper runs PP and PET strap from 9mm to 16mm wide and 0.5mm to 1.1mm thick. The strap width is adjustable on the tool, so one Viper can cover several strap sizes across a site.
How many straps will the Viper do on a single charge?
With the standard 3.0Ah Makita battery you can expect around 250 to 350 straps per charge. The optional 5.0Ah battery lifts that to around 400 to 550. A fast charge takes about 20 minutes.
Why is a touchscreen better on an industrial strapping tool?
Physical buttons and small dials wear and collect dust. The Viper’s capacitive touchscreen shows tension, speed and weld settings in real time, adjusts with simple icons and locks with a finger swipe so settings can’t be bumped during a shift.
Can the Viper strap delicate or light loads?
Yes. Soft mode runs from 500N to 1,500N and a progressive tension button lets the operator bring the strap up gently, so light cartons and fragile goods are secured without crushing.
What maintenance does the Viper need?
Maintenance is simple and user level. The control board is reached by removing the handle, and built-in self-diagnosis reports errors on screen so issues can be sorted quickly.
